Obligate Nasal Breathing (ONB) is one of those terms that seems to be coming up more and more. You may recall from your dental program the term is used with this-or-that exam and relegated to the dark corners of your mind never to be revisited. Some books talk about ONB in an abstract way,  for example, "ask your patients to breathe through their nose not their mouth" as if it was really that easy!

What you may not know is how important ONB is to improvements in athletes'
performance, improvements in school, blood pressure regulation, caries management, or  how important ONB is in your own personal infection control regime. In this course you'll learn about the 1992 Molecule of the Year: Nitric Oxide and how it plays a role in overall health, particularly infection control. What is standing in the way of ONB and how you can identify problems for timely referrals. You'll explore techniques that improve breathing nearly immediately, and safe drug free solutions that increase sinus volume.
