The Northeast Florida Dental Hygienists' Association (NEFDHA) has been in existence since 1950.

As a component of the state association, we serve the following 13 counties in northeast Florida:

NEFDHA provides continuing education events throughout the year to keep members up-to-date with developments in the profession.  The events are held in Jacksonville and marketed through email to all licensed dental hygienists in the counties served.

NEFDHA is a component of the tripartite organization of the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA).  We are a subsidiary of the Florida Dental Hygienists' Association (FDHA), which was founded in 1926 to represent the more than 10,000 dental hygienists who practice in the state of Florida. When you become a member of ADHA you are automatically a member of all three levels of the organization:  the national, the state and your local component.
