Darla Schultz, President

President:  Darla Schultz, CRDH, BS

Darla graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, Dental Hygiene Program in Southern California in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. After graduating, Darla worked in clinical dental hygiene for three years in Oklahoma and was located in remote farm communities.  Darla was the first dental hygienist in those offices. In 1987, she moved to Florida and worked in private practice for several years. The opportunity arose for her to enter the field of Education in which she worked 3 years teaching both in the classroom and in clinic. Currently she is working at a private practice in Neptune Beach.  Darla’s favorite pastimes are spending time with family, particularly her 3 grandkids, “beaching it” and staying young, active and healthy by working out on a regular basis.  Darla has enjoyed getting involved in NEFDHA and has served as Recording Secretary, Vice President and President Elect the past few years.

Ravon Smith, President -Elect

President Elect:  Ravon Smith, CRDH, AS

 

Ravon Smith, CRDH, AS, is a recent member of NEFDHA.  She has been an active hygienist for 5yrs currently working in Perio and Cosmetic Dental Offices.  Her continuous passion and enthusiasm to motivate patients is seen through individualized patient care.  She is highly regarded and trusted due to her patient education, time spent and thorough but gentle touch.  Before dentistry, she was employed in the Management and Quality Assurance fields for many years. She previously studied Social Work serving as Vice President of the Bluffton College Social Work Club. Ravon is involved in community service where her heart is for the homeless community.  Former ministries involvement included: Praise Dance, Media, Choir and Hospitality Team. Ravon is excited to be involved with the association and ready to see the bright changes and future coming to the Dental Hygiene Field.

Marie Smith, Vice President

Vice President:  Marie Smith, RDH, AS

 

Marie Smith RDH, AS, graduated from Sanford Brown College, and is an active member of the ADHA. She achieved her Associate in Science Degree for Dental Hygiene in 2016 and states it was the best career choice she ever made.  Marie has made it her personal mission to make sure each of her patients have a pleasant dental experience.  Marie finds joy interacting with her patients and making a difference in their lives. She also prides herself in ethics and doing what's right.  Aside from her career Marie enjoys volunteering,  traveling, time outdoors soaking up the sun and spending time doting on her nephew.

Shannon Frey, Treasurer

Treasurer:  Shannon Frey, CRDH, AS

 

Shannon Frey CRDH, AS, graduated in 2016 from Sanford Brown College and is an active member of the ADHA. She received her Dental Assisting Expanded Functions Certificate in 2005 and knew dentistry would always be her career path. She plans on continuing with her education and intends on obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene. She is currently a clinician and has worked in private and corporate practices, as well as for a periodontal specialist. On her downtime, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, kickboxing, and music festivals.

Ashley Manor, Recording Secretary

Ashley Manor, CRDH, BS

Ashley is an active member of ADHA and has been practicing dental hygiene for 4 years in general private practice. Ashley graduated from UNF with a Biomedical Biology major and a Psychology minor. She later earned her A.A. in Dental Hygiene and served as historian for her graduating class. In her spare time, Ashley volunteers at Mission House providing free screenings/cleanings to the homeless population in Jacksonville alongside her attending dentist. Her goal is to help advocate the need for dental and medical professionals to work together to provide optimal health for every patient.

Beth Rucker, Corresponding Secretary

Corresponding Secretary:

Beth Rucker, CRDH, AS

Beth will serve a second term as Corresponding Secretary.  Beth earned both an A.A. degree and an A.S. degree in Dental Hygiene at Florida Community College (now known as FSCJ) in 1976, and has worked in private practice since that date.  Beth has held leadership roles at the state association level including the position of NEFDHA’s District Trustee for 12 years.  Beth participates annually at FDHA’s Smile Day in Tallahassee, and is a volunteer and advocate for Special Olympics Special Smiles Florida.  She is well known as the local dental hygienist who first initiated email communication to our members.  Many of you still recognize her name as “bethrdh@comcast.net”.

Lori Brusoski, Immediate Past President

Immediate Past President/Membership Chair:

Lori Brusoski, CRDH, BS

Lori Brusoski, CRDH, BSDH, is an active member of ADHA and has been a registered dental hygienist for over thirty-five years. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the Medical University of South Carolina. Currently, Lori is employed with Dr. C J Henley as a Certified Registered Dental Hygienist. She is a dental hygiene examiner with the Commission on Dental Competency Assessment (CDCA). The past two years she has conducted clinics with Suwannee River Area Health Education Center (AHEC), and presented a senior workshop in Starke, FL, in November 2019, as well as screenings on elderly underserved patients including data collection for the AHEC center. Working with the AHEC program, in 2018 Lori provided fluoride treatments and dental screenings to Head Start children in Putnam County. She has previously been a faculty member teaching dental hygiene for Sanford Brown College in Jacksonville, Pensacola State College, and Del Mar College in Texas. Recently, Lori has held the office of NEFDHA President 2018-2020, Pres-elect 2017-2018, and Vice President 2016-2017.  Lori enjoys swimming, hiking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband who has retired after serving as a Naval Officer.

Cindy Wampler, FDHA District Trustee

 FDHA District Trustee:

Cindy Wampler, CRDH, AS

Cindy’s career in dental hygiene spans 44 years.  She graduated with an AAS degree in Dental Hygiene in 1976 from Broome Community College in Binghamton, NY.  She returned to school to complete both a bachelor degree in business and master degree in adult and higher education and has enjoyed 18 years as a Professor of Dental Hygiene at Florida State College at Jacksonville. 

 

Cindy is active on the local, state and national levels of ADHA.  She served as President of NEFDHA for two terms and is currently NE Trustee and ADHA Delegate.  She is very active in the community through her involvement in Give Kids a Smile and as a Clinical Director for Special Olympics just to name a few!  On a personal note she loves spending time with her family, especially her 3 year old grandson, and friends!
