NEFDHA offers a minimum of 12 continuing education hours each year for
dental hygienists in Northeast Florida. This allows local dental hygienists the choice of obtaining re-licensure requirements at convenient locations without having to travel.
NEFDHA's face-to-face CE meetings provide an opportunity for networking with colleagues. This is a valuable experience! Face-to-face meetings also have an advantage of "question and answer" sessions, which is not available with online CE courses. NEFDHA works diligently to recruit professional local speakers who present current scientific topics of interest.
NEFDHA provides:
1- three to four evening meetings (usually on Thursdays) during the year to earn 2 hours of continuing education each.
2- the "Spring Seminar" provides 6 hours of continuing education and the earnings provide 2 scholarships for dental hygiene students at FSCJ (Florida State College at Jacksonville).
3- members of NEFDHA always register at a discounted fee.
Evening meetings are currently (2019) held on Thursday evenings at:
Dental PC Technology Center
7845 Baymeadows Way
Jacksonville, FL 32256
Meeting dates and events are published via email to all licensed dental hygienists in Northeast Florida.
